Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university.
- Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 32 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (e.g., 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC).
3. Number of Attempts
- General/EWS: 6 attempts
- OBC: 9 attempts
- SC/ST: Unlimited attempts (till the upper age limit)
UPSC CSE Selection Process
The examination consists of three successive stages:
